Kentucky’s PGA HOPE programs provide all Veterans with FREE golf instruction taught by local PGA Professionals. The HOPE program is designed to provide golf as a therapeutic rehabilitation tool for all military Veterans. The lifetime sport of golf has proven to be an excellent outlet for activity and competition, but also allows Veterans to assimilate back into their community through the social interaction the game provides. Sessions include instruction, camaraderie and playing opportunities.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- PGA HOPE is a 6-8 week program with a defined curriculum and a final graduation event
- Classes will occur one time per week for an established period of time (60-90 minutes)
- PGA HOPE will be led and instructed by Kentucky PGA of America Golf Professionals
- PGA HOPE will NOT be instructed by Professional Golf Management (PGM) students, volunteers, the USGA members, VA staff members, or non-Members
- Each golf skill (range, chipping, putting, course management) will be covered at different points throughout the session
